Nelson Novaes Neto is passionate about security and behavior analysis in social networks, and also advocate for a Free Internet!
Entrepreneur, engineer, postgraduate in InfoSec by University of São Paulo, MBA by FGV and Master’s degree in Exp. Psychology by PUC/SP. He has broad experience in internet industry, product development, internet security and research. He also has several international certifications. He is a superintendent at Holding Itaú Unibanco S.A, the largest financial conglomerate in LATAM and present in more than 25 countries. For over a decade, Novaes was CSO of UOL Group, the biggest online service provider and Internet service provider in Brazil and Latan. During that period, he was responsible for the group’s security as well as the management of UOLDIVEO Managed Security Services.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the (ISC) 2 for Latin America, largest and most prestigious professional accredited entity in information security in the world. He is also a member of the main national security groups, having developed several projects for the education and protection of the infrastructure of the internet in Brazil.
In addition, develops social projects with the authorities, Brazilian Internet Steering Committee in Brazil, NGOs and Government, for example, online security training for teachers and students of the Department of Education of the State of São Paulo.
